Mark your calendars for Wine, Walk, and Wander June 21st!
Schuylkill Haven Area Business Association is hosting an outdoor wine, art, creative arts and performing arts expose entitled:
WINE, WALK, AND WANDER.
This event attracted over 700 people last year and will provide local artists with exposure recognition and unlimited selling potential while giving the general public the opportunity to join together with local artistic talent to view and purchase amazing art, taste and buy local wines, enjoy food and musical performances and checkout local stores for special offerings.
PLEASE JOIN US FOR A FUN-FILLED EVENING DESIGNED TO PROMOTE THE ARTS IN SCHUYLKILL HAVEN.
We are hoping to make our 4th year bigger and better. Join us to hear the Blues sounds of Sterling Koch. Also this year, M&J Big Band will be back to play in front of the Sovereign Bank and TJ Fitzpatrick…Elvis will be here !!!
There will also be an old-fashioned photo booth as well as some local crafters. Plus, there will be lots of food and the farmer’s market too! We even have a Kiddie Korner this year in Lori’s Angels parking lot with a bounce house, zippy pet, stuff a plush, sand art, and children’s games for those of you who will have children with you.

Race course starts at the Art Center progresses into downtown Schuylkill Haven onto the “Island” and includes a trail. You can even watch the Sojourners take off!

The Perfect Pair: A Wine and Chocolate Fundraiser for Blue Mt. Girls Soccer
Blue Mt. High School Girls Soccer Team England Trip Committee Graduating Classes of 2014 and 2015 hosts ‘The Perfect Pair, a Wine and Chocolate Fundraiser Event on February 11, from 7-10 pm. In 2013, girls from the Blue Mountain Soccer Team will travel to the United Kingdom to compete against teams from Scotland and England. This event will help them reach their fundraising goals! Please plan on attending to enjoy silent and live auctions as well as wine and chocolate sampling.

Christmas On Main
Come celebrate the holidays with an Old Fashioned Holiday Celebration in downtown Schuylkill Haven! Shop for fun and unique gifts, enjoy delicious fare at our restaurants, and even see Santa Clause!
The fun starts at 9:00am. Many of the shops will be open, and the Children’s Christmas Party for children of Schuylkill Haven up to age 10 starts also at that time at the Schuylkill Haven Rec Center. The Children’s party is for children who attend Schuylkill Haven Elementary School or St. Ambrose School.
Santa Clause will come to the downtown barbershop at 12:30pm. There will also be carriage rides in town as well as free children’s crafts at the Barbershop, Bear Haven Boutique, and the Economic Development Building. You can visit the Festival of Trees at the former Edward Jones Building as well! Plus, all the store windows are decorated beautifully for holiday cheer!
So come out and join us for a fun-filled day for the whole family! Do some shopping, make some crafts, and have some food too! What a great way to share in some holiday cheer!

Fun Fall Happenings in Schuylkill Haven
You don’t have to go far to find fun fall activities. Schuylkill Haven has a lot going on this month!
The Halloween Parade kicks everything off on October 20. Some of the local businesses will be open later for your enjoyment, and the parade starts at 7pm.
At the Island Park on October 21st and 22nd is the Haunted Hayride, complete with Live Scenes, food, and refreshments. Then on October 23, the Island Park is hosting a fall festival with activities for all ages, a pumpkin patch, and hayrides!
To round out the month, Penn State Schuylkill is having their Safe Trick or Treat night on October 27 from 5pm-7pm with activities, games, and music. Then on October 31, Schuylkill Haven has its borough-wide trick or treat night from 6pm-8pm.
